Designed to introduce learners to the unique issues and challenges facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) older adults. In addition, it will present the strengths and resilience of this population in response to these challenges. Topics such as discrimination and problems with policies, health and mental health concerns, and caregiving will be examined. Registration Open Until September 19!
More than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of dementia, and are cared for by an estimated 15 million Americans. Throughout this program the student will learn the intricacies of Alzheimer's and dementia, and care practices that provide the highest quality of care to meet the needs of those who face this devastating disease.
