Currently we are going through a review of the unit, its mission, offerings, procedures, software, etc.

The following services are currently suspended or on a case-by-case scenario:

  • Non-credit transcript requests
  • Other verifications of participation (student and instructor) in non-credit activities
  • Sponsor Requests for non-credit CEUs
  • New non-credit offerings (case-by-case)
  • Courses previously offered (case-by-case)

While we do not have a timetable on when the review process will end and decisions will be made, we are working to come to a conclusion as soon as possible in order to end any disruptions caused and lift any suspended activities.

Non-credit Academic Terms with Continuing Professional Education

In an effort to better align non-credit course offerings with the West Virginia University academic calendar, the following dates for each term are as follows:

Spring: Course Access Dates - January 1-April 30. Course requests can be submitted as early as mid-October, with registration opening as early as November. Courses close one month prior (March 31) that are online and do not have specified dates.

Summer: Course Access Dates - May 1-July 31. Course requests can be submitted as early as mid-February, with registration opening as early as March. Courses close one month prior (June 30) that are online and do not have specified dates.

Fall: Course Access Dates - August 1-December 31. Course requests can be submitted as early as mid-May, with registering opening as early as June. Courses close one month prior (November 30) that are online and do not have specified dates.
